This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pasadena follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Went today because we’d heard this place has amazing food. There’s a reason they’re called β€œTop Restaurant.” Not only is the food delicious and fresh, but the people we met there were so kind and welcoming. Must-try spot if you’re in Pasadena!

this place rules, the portions are huge and the kalua pork is sooooo good!! plus it seems like they revamped the menu so now you can get all kinds of different combos of meats/seafood for the bbq plates. i've been here lots of times for the hawaiian food but now i need to branch out and try the indonesian food too! note it's take out ONLY, and usually parking in the little strip mall is pretty easy

Hit or miss place. Loved it when I chanced upon this to-go-only Hawaiian&Indonesian food place around 10/2021. Prices were reasonable for plate of bbq chicken at $10 bucks. Price up to around $17/plate bbq chicken (6/2026) now. That’s about a ~70% increase in last ~5yrs. Food quality slowly deteriorated and portions are smaller through the years. Whole fried chicken too dry and crispy for me β€” only tried their fried chicken once. Their Indonesian food selections are too sweet. I like their Hawaiian bbq best due to their flavorful sauce. However, today their rice is dry, bbq chicken cold, and sauce still gelatin-like(probably yet melted from storing it the fridge overnight)🫀. Not be back, unless desperate for a quick lunch to-go.

Don't let the name fool you and definitely don't let the location scare you off. Top Restaurant is tucked into a small, rundown shopping center on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena and from the outside you'd never guess what's waiting inside. This is my third visit and every single time it delivers. This is an Indonesian/Hawaiian restaurant β€” and a seriously impressive one. The menu spans both worlds, and no matter which direction you go, you're in for something special. Take out only, no tables, but trust me β€” you won't care. The 4 Piece Indonesian Fried Chicken with rice is an absolute must. Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. The crust is insanely crispy, the seasoning is perfect, and the Indonesian dipping sauce ties it all together in a way that's completely unique. This alone is worth the drive. The Hawaiian plates are equally impressive. The short ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the beef and chicken were perfectly marinated β€” sweet, savory, and deeply flavorful. Everything comes with rice and a creamy mac salad, and the Hawaiian Sun drinks (Mango Orange and Strawberry Lilikoi) are the perfect companion to wash it all down. Plates run between $16–$20 but the portions

We ordered the seafood combo and it was very nice sized portion. It came with fried fish, shrimp tempura & chicken katsu..Two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni. Everything tasted fresh & super crispy! with an order of Gyoza on the side. It's also very affordable as well!
